About Us
Furry Monster Rescue is an all dog breed rescue group. We are located in the Midwest IL area and we cover all over. Our rescue group is volunteer based only. We save the lives of dogs/puppies from all over. We no longer take in owner surrenders due to too many needing to be saved from being PTS! We take them into our personal homes, fosters, from all walks of life. Our rescue group care for them as if they were our own personal dogs/puppies. We give them any medical treatment they may need. We give these furry monsters a place to stay until they can get a leg up to go out on the hunt for their fur-ever home. Our available furry monsters change all the time so if you don't see someone now then check back often.
About the owner
I, Christina Rolland, have grew up with dogs and have loved them all my life. My first dog was a German Shepherd. I talked my dad into letting me get this badly beaten girl when I was only 15. She was a scared girl but came out of her shell after she tried to take my face off, and coaching her with hot dogs! She became a GREAT girl with a little work. She was by my side for years! After I lost her I had started helping people work with their trouble dogs, but I am NOT a trainer. I am a firm believer that there is NO bad dog but misunderstood owners! Due to at the time I could not have a dog of my own. I started fostering back in 2004 caring for many different dogs from many different walks of life. Then started my own rescue in December of 2011. Still helping many dogs along the way!I Now have 4 kids and 8 personal dogs of breeds most people would not even TRY to put together, let alone with kids in the house. From left to right, Chow-chow-male, Akita-female, Bull Mastiff-female, English Mastiff-male, Rottie-female (pasted away), and front (foster at the time) Pit Bull-male. We also have (not in picture) Pit Bull-female, Great Dane/Lab-male, French Mastiff-female, plus a mastiff mix-male. I will say I have had my fair share of fights but they ALL live inside together happily! You can even find out more about me on my face book page!
About our dogs
All of our dog come from kill shelters around the United States. We take them in help them find their way. Get them medical treatment they may need. All of our adoption come de-wormed, up-to-date on age appropriated vaccinations, flee & tick prevention, micro-chipped with free registration, and spayed/neutered. The price of the puppies who are not spayed/neutered yet comes with a certificate that will allow you to take that puppy to our vet (only) once he/she is old enough to be spayed/neutered at no extra coast to you.
